Katiusha // ROAR
Kerrlos // Wane
An Eve w/ Marge // Elliot
It’s that time once again… the Come Up Records Showcase is back! Following on from April’s Tasty Bakery extravaganza, we return to Rye Lane once more to party with you from dusk till dawn. As usual we will be joined on the night by some fantastic selectors to help us bring the party to life.
With the aim of building a community centered around music and a mutual respect between one another, we hope you’ll find a fun and friendly environment with us on the 9th of September! We’re incredibly excited for this one!
So, respect the venue, respect each other, and let’s have a night to remember!
Katiusha & Roar [Patchwork/Soul Sessions/Hiraeth]
London & Oxford-based DJ and producer Roar is chameleonic to say the least, bringing heat behind the decks regardless of genre. With Ben UFO, Prosumer, Batu and Lakuti included in the acts he has supported, he’s as much at home mixing driving electro, breaks, and euphoric acid as he is with disco, jungle or dubstep. Since booking Dark Sky in 2015 to headline his own festival, LestFest, Roar has been running Oxford’s core dance music community, EDMS, whilst diversifying the city’s disco scene with the innovative Soul Sessions.
Up until now Katiusha has been based between London and Oxford, running the not-for-profit event series Patchwork; promoting, DJing and illustrating for local nights; and compiling mixes for stations such as Headroom and Radar Radio. Having supported Objekt, Tama Sumo, and Pangaea amongst others, her love for minimal, breakbeat and deep rolling techno is leading her to a new home in Berlin.
In the last year Roar and Katiusha have collaborated on various projects: booking Giegling at the end of their worldwide tour in May; b2bing after Call Super; playing Corsica Studio’s respected after party, Jaded; and DJing at the last Secret Garden Party.
